Today, both parties are proud to announce that Fellowmind, Scania and Preem will join Wera as main partners in 2025. Their commitment will help strengthen the network's work to increase the influence of women and non-binary people in the technology sector.

– Despite all the initiatives and promises to include more women in the engineering profession, development continues to drag on in ultra-slow motion. We want to change this through Wera, and thanks to the partnerships with Fellowmind, Scania and Preem, we are now taking the next step in realizing that vision, says Thomas Peterssohn, CEO of Ny Teknik.

The purpose of Wera is to create a platform that inspires more women to take their place in technology, sustainability and leadership. By offering meeting places, mentorship and knowledge exchange, the goal is to strengthen the role of the underrepresented target group in the engineering profession and pave the way for a more gender-equal technology sector.

As main partners, Preem, Fellowmind and Scania will be active in Wera's activities and contribute their expertise in their respective areas.

– Scania builds success through diversity and inclusion. With Wera, we want to inspire more female engineers to develop and contribute their perspectives – an important part of our strategy to drive sustainable innovation forward, says Jeanna Tällberg, Head of People and Culture at Scania.

– Skills shortages are a major threat to growth in the tech industry, where diversity and equality are important success factors. By supporting the work that Wera is doing, we hope to help more female engineers open their eyes to our innovative, developing and inclusive industry, says Anna Kleine at Fellowmind.

– At Preem, we know that diversity and equality contribute to creativity, innovation and well-being in the workplace. Through our collaboration with WERA, we want to highlight these important issues and together create change – not only within our own industry, but also inspire the business community at large, says Ylva Nyberg, Head of Communications and HR at Preem.

In 2025, the network will continue to develop for its members, and the kick-off for this year will be a breakfast event at Norrsken during their event series HER/O. There, Siri Bergnéhr from AFRY will talk about her work with FemTech and the importance of designing in women. The event will take place on March 21st and registration is open from March 3rd at weraco.se.

Other partners of Wera in 2025 are AFRY and the Swedish Transport Administration.

Contact: info@weraco.se

Under hösten 2024 lanserade stiftelsen Womengineer och Ny Teknik nätverket Wera.
